Travel
Regularly, Ken is found elsewhere than in North Shore Vancouver. It will be a contrasting environment - perhaps one of the Caribbean islands. However, suspicion has it that his favourite place is Patong Beach, Thailand - followed by Trinity Beach, Queensland, or Covent Garden market, England. Many other places are very well thought of, but Ken rarely divulges exact locations.

Music
Ken has an eclectic taste in music. This ranges from a wide variety of Classical composers, through Traditional Jazz, Bluegrass, Country, '60s and '70s Popular, back to the 20's Charleston era. However, he finds it difficult to admit to some of this - in particular the Willie Nelson fan part!

Sport
As a year-round tennis player, Ken's opponents should never be surprised by his fitness and athleticism. Lifelong sibling rivalry at this sport helps.


Unbelievably, active participation in other sports has included soccer until November 2006. Ken also plays golf - but it is unwise to enquire as to his actual handicap for fear of causing him embarrassment. He also swims, snorkels, plays darts, and gives a good account of himself at table tennis. He used to play squash, and prior to 1971 played a high standard of cricket - although, as a Canadian, he rarely admits to this.


A Coventry City soccer club supporter for 40 years, Ken can still be found wearing their scarf. Saints and Seahawks are his NFL teams. But 'armchair' interest in sport extends well beyond these affiliations.

Craftsman
One of Ken's displacement activities is undoubtedly woodwork. Semi-essential items to improve his living environment - picture frames, furniture, decking - are all constructed with relative ease. He also designs and manufactures items of aesthetic value including desk accessories, kitchenalia and newspaper weights.
Films
Entrenched 'left brain' logic explains why believability is an essential element of Ken's film choice. However, the incurable romantic beneath the legal persona means that period drama and modern-day intrigue rule. Fantasy and science fiction do not. Knowledge of film stars makes him a valuable member of film quiz teams.
